If you’re ready to start investing in Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency, an exchange will simplify the process of buying and selling. I use Coinbase as my exchange. I find it clear and easy-to-use and I recommend it to anyone getting started. But there are a lot of great exchanges out there that do more (and less, depending on what you need) than Coinbase. Here are the three best exchanges for beginners:

1. Coinbase - Founded in 2012 and well-trusted in the community, they’re a U.S. company that will be going public soon. Their app and website are easy to navigate, your account comes with a free wallet to safely store your cryptocurrency and they offer a Pro version to level up your trading (The pro version comes with lower fees, different payment structures and more data analysis and charts). Watch the video below for how to get started on Coinbase.

2. Gemini - Security is the main focus of Gemini, another U.S. exchange that comes with a free wallet. Their claim to fame is that they’ve never been hacked since their inception in 2014 and that any USD you have in the exchange is backed by the FDIC. The exchange is run by the Winklevoss twins who are major players in the crypto game. Learn how to get started with Gemini in the video below.

3. Cash App - The biggest benefit to Cash App’s exchanged is that you might already have the app on your phone. It’s very simple to navigate, just like when using the app for cash, and has relatively low fees. The main downfall is that it only supports Bitcoin, not any other altcoins, but it does make it easy to buy, sell and use the money you earn quickly.

No matter which exchange you choose to use, make sure you’re keeping your wallet secure (even if it’s being hosted on the exchange). Use two-factor authentication to login, and learn more about wallet security and how you can keep your wallet safe.
